Phoenix First Home Win
Zephyr Rovers Acting Manager said today he was inspired by the Phoenix 4 - 1 win over Perth today at Westpac Stadium's "Ring of Fire'. "I know the Phoenix players have really worked for this one and I know the same is true of the Rovers players" said Nash "it is good to see the other big local team doing well and we know we will do the business at the Shed of Dreams on Wednesday". Nash said the fact that Phoenix had come from behind to win convincingly showed you had to play the whole match out. "We've been pipped at the post before but I think we're showing a new mental toughness lately that will help the squad going forward". Nash said he'd watched Rangers European campaigns over the years and had learnt a thing or two from the experience. "Let's just say it hasn't always been plain sailing for Rangers and we won't waltz to the top of Wellington football without a few set backs" said Nash "just hopefully not as many as Rangers have had lately".
