Smith To Visit Wellington
Former Rovers player and Australian Scout Charles Smith is to return on a visit to Wellington in the near future. "No sooner had he hopped on the lane to Perth than he is coming back for a visit" said Zephyr Rovers Manager Steve Hall "which will probably mean a night out having a few drinks and another farewell". Hall said he didn't think Smith would be able to have a game for the Rovers whilst he was in Wellington as he was rumoured to have lost a bit of condition since his days in the Rovers line up. "The lad was never the most athletic in the team even when he played in goal" said Hall "I'm not sure he would stand up to the rigours of Division 3". Hall said Smith had yet to advise how long the visit would take or when he would arrive.
