Smith Calls For Boot Camp

Former Zephyr Rovers player Charlie Smith called today for the Zephyr Squad to be put through a boot camp before next season. “It seems self evident to me here in Perth that the team is suffering from fitness issues and losing games late in the piece” confided Smith “I’d have the lads climbing up and down the Rimutaka Hill road three times a day so that they can get their conditioning”. Smith said he was disappointed that England had not beaten Germany this morning. “Winston Churchill will be turning over in his grave at that result” said Smith “and frankly it is never acceptable to lose to the Germans and McClown should go”. Smith said he would at least get to see Pompey knock over Chelski this weekend. “You have to get over your disappointments and beating Chelsea will be worth a few pints” suggested Smith.
