New Zephyr Rovers signing Craig Candy said "Sweet As" when he signed for Rovers today. Candy who has experience with Olympic AFC (pictured) was signed after the "marquee" player Graham Little (a former highland dancing champion) promised by Nash, failed to sign for the club. "We're hoping Craig will bring a bit of class to the side" said Zephyr Rovers Manager Steve Hall "I'd expect he'll have a bit of composure on the ball and bring a few silky skills and delicate touches". Hall said that there had been a hint of decomposure on the ball in last weeks game but Rovers often didn't play to full capacity during the pre-season grading matches.
Chairman Nash said Hall was going on as if Rovers had signed Gordon Strachan. "We're wanting to take Zephyr Rovers to the top of Wellington Indoor Football by 30 June 2030" said Nash "and whilst signing me was an important first step, we're going to need to get more Scotsman if we're going to become the Glasgow Rangers of Wellington Indoor Football". Nash welcomed Candy on board and said Candy was welcome to buy him a drink any time he liked. "I'm thinking of making it a tradition that the new guys buy me a round or three". Nash did not disclose the transfer fee but was reported to have waived it as he was feeling generous this week.

Charlie is keeping a low profile here in Oz - he's knocked back to ten pints a day.
